Mustafa Batmaz

About.

Hi, I'm Mustafa. I was born and raised in Antakya, Hatay, and now live in Ankara with my wife and our child.

I discovered software at university, while studying Computer Engineering at İskenderun Technical University, and I've never stopped learning since. Every new project and every new technology made me a little more curious about this work, and it still does.

My first job was building web applications with PHP and Laravel. Then I moved to Java and stayed. I worked on Turkcell's back-office project and on Biletix's ticketing applications. At Grey&Rea Technology I spent almost five years building software for international universities and research institutions, and did a fair amount of Angular frontend work alongside the backend.

Today I'm a Senior Software Developer at NEG Teknoloji, working on the microservices platform of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT). I write services with Java 21 and Spring Boot and connect them with Kafka. Finding out what really went wrong when something breaks in production is a big part of the job, too.

I built this site as part of that same learning. The backend is my home turf; React, Next.js and Docker are things I learned by actually using them here. The source code is on GitHub.

If you'd like to get in touch, LinkedIn is the easiest way.
